Born in 2012, COLD WAVES began as a memorial concert for fallen Chicago musician and sound man Jamie Duffy.
The effort made that first September evening to raise money for Jamie's family has now grown into a global destination, celebrating our relationship with classic industrial music, our support of new innovators, and a passionate fundraiser for suicide prevention. The Chicago event celebrates its 6th incarnation Sept 29 - Oct 1.
THIS YEAR: We are proud to launch our first Los Angeles event, featuring Cold Waves alumni as well as some new faces at the REGENT THEATER in downtown LA. The venue features a massive, classic proscenium and stage, balcony, and very important for our long event: oustide smoking area, separate bar (The Love Song) and amazing pizza (Prufrock) accessible to attendees all night long.
